Le style psychédélique des années 1970 est bien mis en valeur, et rehaussé par le travail de Roy Mattson qui l'interprète comme lui seul sait le faire, avec cette touche de magie planante et stimulante. J'ai un grand coup de coeur pour «Night Weave», une pièce audacieuse et innovante qui utilise la texture d'une flûte bansuri (il me semble) pour produire une ambiance riche et grisante. Je recommande. Favorite track: Night Weave.

Hot on the heels of my previous release, "INTERSECTING SKIES", a new album that was worked on at the same time, but with a much different feel, "PSYCHEDELIC LANDSCAPES" is now available. At once, slightly impressionistic and psychedelic, the music on this album chronicles my internal feelings of walks in the woods and fields. The atmosphere is at times nostalgic, mysterious, hushed …a testament to the deep melancholic joy that I feel when in the woods and fields exploring grottos and glades. The instrumentation harkens to a 1960's or 1970's low-fi vibe of hazy organs and water-colored keys, mixed with classic and modern ambient sounds, electric guitar, flute, and field recordings. This album is more melodic and musically lyrical than my previous works; yet retains the drifting, timeless, non-linear quality of ambient music. Thank you for listening.
