ENDLESS RIVER

Frank Inzan Owen A sublime multi-textural unfolding. With the inherent flowing energies of rivers as his core inspiration, this recording takes the listener along a watercourse way of bubbling fractals and shimmering slow-going heart-mind states. It is a soundworld I have come to rely upon as an antidote to these strange and disconcerting times. Great for meditation, yoga, art-making, or piped into earbuds as one takes their hillwalking practice to higher elevations. Favorite track: Over-arching Boughs.

Brian Bourassa Imagine that you are a leaf that has fallen from a tree into the river below.
Then imagine the amazing journey you would take as you are set adrift begin to meander, rush, spin and tumble throughout the long path of the river. Passing through a diversity of terrain, darting in and out of the light, under lush canopies listening and seeing everything along the way.

This is the 90+ minute journey that Roy has put you on. And a fantastical journey it is.

Don't miss this one!

<=> The album presents a slow river journey (conceptually and cinematically opulent) that seems to drift along like a lucid dream. The overall production is very nice with sense of depth and space. The sounds (samples, synth pads w/ key-notes and field) have an analogue feel about them which I think is a plus. A fine expedition for the minds eye! Best to hear in one sitting. Enjoy! (also get the Lost Songs as well) Favorite track: Setting Out.

RadHaus Studios This is a lyrical and drifty sort of ambient, detailed and nuanced without drawing attention to itself. Great meditation music. Well done, Roy!

about

Life is a river- in both the literal and figurative sense. A constant flow of energy, matter, creation and destruction; an eternal story. As conscious animals in bodily form we are the riders of currents. As potential and spent energy matter; we are the currents. We are dropped off here- unknown from where we came; into a world we do not know. And we do not know where we, or the whole picture is going. What a strange predicament. To be dropped off in the middle of infinity, unaware. To navigate the waterways using wisdom, brute strength, and luck. I often ask myself, how does one converse about such seemingly vast circumstances. The only way is to jump into the river from where you are while the story is still being told.

Instrumentation: synthesizers, electric guitar, bamboo flutes, shakers, stones, seed pods, conch shell trumpet, shells, wind chimes, hand drums, field recordings, and other sound sources.
